I have an eclectic knowledge of martial arts focusing on self defense and street fighting styles designed for smaller bodied individuals such as wing chun and jeet kune do kung fu, judo, escrima, kali and Brazilian jiujitsu. I currently teach self defense at Evolv Fitness. I take private instruction in real world crisis survival techniques and weapons defense; I also do a little MMA training for fun and fitness. I started studying conflict resolution negotiation techniques and training in martial arts for work purposes as an event and building manager in downtown Seattle. I’ve lived and worked downtown for 10 years and I immediately noticed the difference in my level of confidence and comfort walking around at night after my first class. I’m here to empower you with the knowledge to prevent, de-escalate, or end an attempted assault and take an active role in your own self defense and psychological well-being. And even though we cover some very serious material, I’ll probably also make you giggle a little.
